Senator Denise Ricciardi for NH Senate 9 (R-Bedford) released the following statement on the passage of Senate Bill 233:
“Healthy, nutritious food should be available to all Granite State families, regardless of the number on their paycheck,” stated Senator Ricciardi.
“Previously, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children was limited to certain venues, and farmers markets were not included. We’ve now expanded the parameters for this program with SB 233, broadening low-income families access to local, healthy produce.”
